Redesign Caribbean.Dev — Build the Future of Caribbean Tech
The Caribbean tech community invites YOU to participate in the Virtual Design Competition to redesign https://caribbean.dev — transforming it into an interactive, community-first platform inspired by DEV.to, while preserving its Caribbean context and mission.
We’re looking for designers who can envision a platform where blogs, events, hackathons, tech jobs, courses, and regional community hubs can thrive — all in a space that reflects the diversity and brilliance of the Caribbean.
💡 The Design Challenge
Participants will design a Web or Mobile UI experience that includes:

Designs should embody the Caribbean identity, be easy to navigate, and foster interaction.
🛠 Submission Requirements

All designs must be created and submitted in Figma
-
Submissions must include:

✅ Clickable prototype (interactive mockup)
-
✅ Design patterns & component consistency
-
✅ Effective visual hierarchy and storytelling
-
💵 Entry Fee:
-
The entry fee is $30 USD for early birds. Afterwards, the cost is $100 USD.
-
🛍 $30 USD will be refunded as ShopYahso points after the event.

🎯 The remaining help fund the community hackathon
-
🔒 Note: Entry fee is non-refundable in cash, even if a participant drops out or is disqualified.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
To participate, you must:

🌎 Be residing in the Caribbean during the competition period

🎂 Be 16 years or older as of August 1, 2025
-
📱 Follow our official social media pages (Instagram, Twitter/X, or LinkedIn) — we’ll post all event updates there
-
💳 Pay the non-refundable entry fee before the deadline

🧾 Submit your entry by October 4, 2025
Participants who do not meet all eligibility requirements will be disqualified without refund.
